How would you like your graphic design sir?

Another take on the ‘Pick 2’ principle…

Innovative use of the iPad by Disney AppMATes

Not sure who’s going to love this more, my 4-year-old or me?!

Reminiscent of years gone by, playing with toy cars as a child on my parents carpet using the design on the carpet as my imaginary race track.

Now you can play with physical models of characters of the Cars movie on a fully interactive digital track in the iPad.

Love the way the iPad ‘magically’ detects which character you’re playing with to personalise the experience!

I wonder which car manufacturer will pick up on this first?

Naked Password

Fun little twist on encouraging people to use stronger passwords. The beautiful pixel model, Sally, peels back the layers as your password grows stronger.

Go to Naked Password and have a play.

Famous Objects from Classic Movies

Amazingly fun online game at Famous Objects from Classic Movies by uber-talented New York based Creative Director Ji Lee currently at Google Creative Labs.

The goal is to guess which classic film the iconic silhouette appears in. Love the simplicity and competitive edge that’s added with the scoreboard, also think the subtle links to the movie trailer and IMDB page are a nice touch.

Teach parents tech!

What a great site by google, just in time for the holidays to help save all those hours spent explaining to your parents how to use all their new tech at Christmas!

VW Fun Theory Speed Camera Lottery

Ohhhh this is sooo good!

Speed Camera Lottery, an idea by Kevin Richardson (a senior producer at Nickelodeon Kid & Family Games Group in San Francisco), is the winner of ‘The Fun Theory award’ where you get people to reduce their speed by making it fun and rewarding. Brilliant!

The Fun Theory is an initiative by Volkswagen brought to life by the awesome DDB Stockholm and is dedicated to the thought that something as simple as fun is the easiest way to change people’s behaviour for the better. Be it for yourself, for the environment, or for something entirely different, the only thing that matters is that it’s change for the better.

You know you’re a designer when…

Liked this site by Malaysian graphic designer Iqbal Hamid (aka AutaAutistik) which throws up random signs of “You know you’re a designer when…”.

Here are some of my favourites:

Check them out and submit more at You know You’re a Designer When.

It follows the style and sentiment of other popular sites (excuse the language) GoodFuckingDesignAdvice and WhatTheFuckShouldIMakeForDinner which are also worth checking out.

The Evolution of the Geek

Fun infographic found at Flowtown. (click image to see larger version)
I’m pretty sure that if you’re reading this you’ll find yourself somewhere on here only one missing for me is the Band Geek.

Pulp Disney

In follow up to Full Metal Disney which I recently shared, I was told about this which again I couldn’t keep to myself…
