Whilst on holiday last week, I was reading the British tabloids (which is comically expensive to buy in Cyprus) after Englands horrific display at the world cup in South Africa leading to an early flight home for the team and stumbled across this after the Germany game which nearly made me fall off my chair with laughter….
This was 2 days after the whole Lampard / over the line / how was that not allowed / wouldn’t have a difference incident. The timing could not have been better and for me it is spot on!
The speedy turnaround is thanks to it being created by the Specsaver in house creative team who were also responsible for the equally brilliant Lynx spoof ad.
Just seen this hilarious new spot for Coca-Cola by M&C Saatchi featuring James “he’s everywhere” Corden and Wazza!
…a Free Toshiba!
As the official supplier of consumer electronics to The England Team, Toshiba are showing their support this summer by offering England fans a full refund on Toshiba laptops and TVs, if we lift the cup.
Altho not a particularly original solution or execution there’s no denying that if I was in the market for a laptop or tv I would certainly be swayed in their direction for at least a look at what they have to offer of the back of this campaign.

As Walkers are not an official sponsor of the world cup they had to get original with their obviously world cup related promotion where 15 internationally flavoured packets of crisps compete to be the most popular and win the ‘Flavour Cup’.
National flavours such as Australian BBQ Kangaroo, Irish stew, French Garlic Baguette, Spanish Chicken Paella, American Cheesburger and Scottish Haggis?? all feature looking for your vote, but who will come out on top? Watch this space!
The Flavour Cup campaign was developed by Jigsaw, AMV, OMD and Freud.
